Zaikang Lin

I am a PhD candidate and researcher in the Theis Lab at Helmholtz Munich and the Technical University of Munich, supervised by Fabian J. Theis. My work lies at the intersection of machine learning and computational biology, with a particular interest in gene regulatory networks, probabilistic modelling, dynamical systems, and interpretable AI.

Previously, I was a master's student in the Knowles Lab at the New York Genome Center and Columbia University, where I was supervised by David A. Knowles and worked closely with the Azizi Lab. I completed my undergraduate and master's studies at Columbia University in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, with a minor in Computer Science.
